The Urban Forums is a series of research-oriented interdisciplinary conferences, working groups, workshops, and other events focused on urban issues, broadly construed. Events range in size from 30 to 250 people.
Previous Forums have covered issues such as organizational perspectives on urban poverty; the effects of neighborhood structures and dynamics on urban health and welfare; globalization, mobility, and migration; Chicago’s built environment; causality in political networks; urban health; and neighborhoods.
Forums of all sizes are held throughout the academic year, generally with one larger conference in the early spring. All events are free and open to the public.
